Reiki is a beautiful and gentle way to release a lot of the negativity which we encounter every day and allow the body heal and find a more natural, positive state. Reiki is a gentle but powerful, non-invasive technique that originated from Japan in the 19th Centaury. Many clients use reiki for stress reduction and/or physical, metal and emotional healing. The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "Universal” and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "universally guided life force energy." One of the greatest benefits that Reiki holds is that the client doesn't have to reveal what the problem or issue is to the therapist, it's not necessary for Reiki to work.
Reiki is a pure love energy and cannot in any way harm the person having Reiki done to them. A Reiki session lasts approximately one hour depending on the healing that is required. The client remains fully clothed and lies on a plinth with a small blanket to cover them if required. The session occurs in a quiet, secure and comfortable room on a one to one basis. The session involves the laying on of hands or hands-off positions at various points over the client's body. Reiki is a completely simple, gentle and non-invasive method with amazing benefits. Each person will have a different experience in each session, which could involve a feeling of deep relaxation or gentle warmth or tingly sensations.
