Some erectile problems in men are caused subconsciously by some fear or doubt, by removing this fear or doubt and replacing it with feelings of confidence we can in many cases give back the response that was there previously to this. Also not surprisingly stress is a major contributor to sexual problems.

However it must be stressed that Hypnotherapy is more successful with sexual problems of a psychological nature than if there is an organic or pharmacutical cause.

As with all other treatments, confidentiality, sensitivity and sincerity to cure the problem presented are the most important things. The sensitive nature of sexual problems can often prevent people from getting the help they need. About 40 percent of women and 30 percent of men experience sexual dysfunction, a rate much higher than previously believed, according to a new study by researchers at the University and the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. So if this is something that is affecting you, there is no reason to think you have to go it alone, you can get the help you need.

Also something worth a mention is the fact that 50% of male erectile dysfunction is caused by restricted blood flow due to smoking. If this is the case then a simple stop smoking treatment would be advised.

Treatments can vary widely due to the various reasons and causes for sexual problems, usually between two and six sessions.
