Stress is one of the biggest contributing factors to serious illness and disease today. The current theory is that all disease or illness that doesn't have a mechanical cause is caused by either an unresolved emotional conflict, or stress. In truth they are pretty similar in nature. Stress can cause heart attack, stroke, ulcers, affects diabetes, back and neck pain, acne, eczema and much more along with a host of psychological problems. In todays stress filled world it's hard to find time to unwind, but given the alternatives that may happen if we don't do something about stress, it makes sense to deal with it. Stress can be caused by many different factors and often the reasons may not even be apparant to us initially. But using Hypnosis we can replace the reaction we have to the causing factor with a less destructive response. The fact is that two opposing emotions cannot exist at the same time, we cannot feel anxious and calm at the same time for example. By changing the way we think about the stressful situation, we can change our perception of it, or 'reframe' it. The role of EFT in dealing with stress is usually (but not always) to deal with a specific incident or incidents, which may be causing or contributing to the stress. Thereby helping to collapse the stress by resolving any underlying issues supporting it.
